I’ve been searching for a way to provide online lessons to people out-of-state, and I’ve been able to find two partners: Globoedu.com and Zoen.
Through Globoedu, I am offering workshops, clinics, and academic learning about folkloric Japanese music. These course provide a two-way learning experience where students can interact with the musicians and ask questions. It also allows for me to tailor content to your organization’s specific needs.
We can provide live demonstrations of instruments such as taiko, fue, shakuhachi, shamisen, and koto. We can talk about the history of the instruments, and how the music styles developed. We can talk about what it’s like to play one of these traditional instruments in the 21st century. If you can’t find local musicians, feel free to ask about booking an online demonstration!
Through Zoen, I am offering private lessons on taiko, drums, and percussion. Lessons are available for all ages. If you’re interested in auditioning for the Berklee College of Music, I can help you with that as well.
Please check out these great providers, and feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions!
