Never put much stock in the words ‘fate’ or ‘destiny’ but this is an exception. I was born in San Francisco and my parents were friends of Russel and Jeanne. My family moved to Tokyo when I was 4, and for the longest time, ShastaYama felt like something that was happening on the other side of the planet.
30 years later, I have an opportunity to be a part of ShastaYama 2016, and pay a pilgrimage to Mt. Shasta. It’s going to be a wonderful week at Taiko Trek where I get to teach alongside an all-star cast of instructors. Looking forward to both events, and I hope you can join us!
